Its National Secretary General, Mr. Yakubu Mohammed, who disclosed this in a telephone interview, said the AGN would be hosting the wake in conjunction with the rest of the guilds in Nollywood.
He said: “Not only that, a no-work-day will be declared on the day he will be buried on Friday, April 12. What that means is that no production will take place in Nollywood on that day.”
The event, according to him, will begin at 5p.m. today at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos by Ojez Restaurant.
Meanwhile, the family of the late veteran actor had earlier released burial arrangements for the man nicknamed the ‘Village Headmaster’, who died on February 19 due to complications from diabetes.

According to him, another wake by the family will take place on Tuesday, April 9 at The Church of Ascension, Catholic Church, by the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, while there will be a commendation mass on the morning of April 10 at the same venue.
He said: “We will fly the body to Warri on April 10, and on April 12, there will be a church service and lying-in-state at the Polo Turf in Abraka. From there to his residence for interment.”
